Plans are proposed for a 64 single homes on 1/4 acre lots adjacent to the 2nd and 3rd fairways of the SCCC and the Woodside Condo Association. These homes will be built on land that is an important point for water drainage for our community. Building on this land will greatly increase our risk of flooding. The proposed homes are also right off the end of runway 6.
We have created this page to inform our friends and neighbors about the proposed development of 84 acres between the communities known as Quiet Place in the Country and the Spruce Creek Fly-In Community.
Quiet Place in the Country Homeowners received notification of the planned development from Trish Smith at Volusia County Planning Commission. According to her letter, they are in the early stages of reviewing the application. It will require require two public hearings, and the first hearing is not anticipated to be scheduled before late spring.
We need to let the Volusia County Planning Commission know of our concerns! See below to send an email to Trish Smith at the planning commission.
